Research interests:
Dr. Reavis’s primary research area focuses on risk factors for, and distribution of, auditory injuries among Veterans and aging adults. Specifically, she aims to fill gaps in our foundational understanding of the burden of hearing loss and epidemiologic associations between military exposures and hearing both during and after service, and mechanisms that can explain these effects. Additionally, Dr. Reavis’s research interests also include the impact of viral diseases on hearing health and their intersection with chronic disease to inform audiologic care.
