- Recipient of the Rehabilitation Research and Development 2016 Paul B. Magnuson Award for his innovative work on the treatment and management of tinnitus. This award is the highest honor for VA rehabilitation investigators.
- Recipient of the 2011 Research Award from the Association of VA Audiologists "in recognition of his significant research contributions to the advancement of VA Audiology"
